How to measure your dog for clothing

You can’t make clothes for your dog without first getting some standard measurements. In order to find the right size of clothing for your dog, please complete the following measurements with a measuring tape. To ensure a correct fit, please have your dog stand up. You won't get accurate measurements if the pet is sitting or lying down. If this is difficult, offer little incentives (eg. Treats) to get them to stand still, or measure when your pet is calm and not over excited

Take your dog's measurements:

CHEST
Is the size of your dogs chest, at the widest point, which is generally found directly behind the front legs or the thickest part of the body. Wrap the tape measure around your dog's ribcage. Write this number down as the chest size.

NECK
The neck measurement is taken around the dogs neck where their collar would naturally sit. Measure the circumference of his neck. Write this down under the neck measurement.

LENGTH
The Length measurement is from the base of the neck (where their collar sits) to the start of the tail (not to the tip of the tail). Write this number down in under the neck size and congratulations you have all the measurements you need to make your dog clothes!!
